Luka finally got some help from some of the other guys that were struggling. If the Mavs start to knock down there open 3 point shots then this series gets really interesting. Reggie Bullock, Maxi Kleber, Dorian Finney-Smith I'm looking at you. Mavs took their foot off the gas and let the Warriors comeback at the end but nobody is really worried about that since the starters weren't playing. The Mavs still have a lot of work to do if they won't accomplish what no team has in NBA history by coming back from a 3-0 deficit. One game at a time...

Mavs need to play hard this game. They can't allow themselves to get swept. Hopefully the coaching staff has developed a good gameplan. Everybody needs to score some points. Not just three guys. But good defense is most important.

After a good run the Mavs winning streak finally comes to an end. I'm very interested to see how we play over the next 6 games. Our defense has really hit all strides lately. We've had some great wins this year against top notch competition. We've held the top two teams in the league under 100 points on this latest winning streak. The question now becomes was this an aberration? Or is this new defensive improvement here to stay? I still feel like we need another reliable playmaker on the team that pushes the tempo and can get consistent points in other ways besides 3 point shots and long twos. Someone that can score using their athleticism and physical abilities. Looking at the Grizzlies play golden state yesterday it was clear that we as a team are just missing a certain physicality and raw athletic energy that a lot of these other teams play with. I feel like that's why its essential that the Mavs find a way to hang on to Marquese Chris he brings that element to the team.

I see several strong targets for the Mavericks: John Collins, Zach Lavine and Ben Simmons. John Collins really showed me something in the playoffs, he seems like a strong defender and can hit those wide open threes in the short corner. Zach Lavine feels like he would be a great fit alongside Luka Doncic. It would give the Mavs a reliable second scorer and he's still pretty young if the duo works out they could be together for years. One thing that I love about Zach Lavine is that he is aggressive and has no problem shooting. He can get to the rim and make some extremely athletic plays. Ben Simmons would work great as a primary ball handler, it would take a lot of pressure off of Luka Doncic. He would have an opportunity to rest on offense and have a lot more energy to finish in the 4th quarter.
