  1. This is a very enjoyable watch. I now see what all the hype is about.

For me the story is kinda of meh. But it does hold my interest and it makes me want to learn more about the world.

But the reason this anime has been getting rave reviews is because of the excellent animation and just out of this world action.

The director is Sunghoo Park. If you were a fan of God of High School, then the action in this anime will be right up your alley but on a completely different level.

There is absolutely no way you won't love Gojo Sensei. He's like Kakashi 3.0. Yeah, we're skipping 2.0 and going right for 3.0. They way they portray him in the anime is fantastic.

Again the story is not the greatest. I personally prefer a lot more world building and a larger roster of unique characters and personalities but the action is off the charts.

The pacing is extremely well done especially in the beginning. It slows down in the middle of course but it doesn't stay slow for long. From What I've read they've yet to officially announce season 2 but it's only a matter of time.

If you haven't seen this anime yet, go check it out!

  2. It's being reported that their was an accidental leak recently by Sony in regards to a new service known as PlayStation plus video pass.

Now this news doesn't surprise me at all, back in December of 2020 news broke that Funimation(which is owned by Sony) was going to purchase Crunchyroll.

I immediately shared my thoughts about how Sony may have cornered the anime market and could create a sort of Animepass that would act as a magnet for keeping people subscribed to their platform.

No matter how it turns out regarding the anime streaming purchase, I think this is an extremely smart move by Sony to leverage its existing properties and create an additional service for its subscribers.

Sony has a library of movies and other video content that people would love to have access to. Why not roll that into an additional service or bundle it up with PlayStation Plus.

    Microsoft Counter Move?
The countermove for Microsoft would be to turnaround and buy up many of the mega manga producers and the companies that have the rights to the manga. Create a manga reader on the Xbox platform and then turnaround and negotiate with Funimation/Sony on a revenue sharing model for manga to be streamed on their platform. And if by some chance the Crunchyroll deal falls through then buy Crunchyroll and add it to their platform.

Either way I fully expect a Microsoft response. I can't imagine that they've been sitting blind on this one.

At the end of the day though I think this is an excellent move by Sony. PlayStation subscribers will be very pleased to have this additional service. Its all about giving people loyal to your band additional value and additional options/reasons to keep coming back to you.

  3. Well Batman fans, whether you wanted it or not, the multiverse is all but confirmed to play a major part in DC films moving forward.

I imagine this will create a lot of confusion, as new Batman movies are released in the future and we end up having different actors play Batman in standalone movies.

But I guess at the end of the day as long as the movies are making money, Hollywood is going to milk the super hero angle for all it's worth.

  4. It's gonna be a long time before we get to see Deku's fight, in the mean time the other guys are making it interesting. I really like the beast dude from class B, he's really strong and it seems like he benefits from other animal related traits, like his sense of smell and hearing.

Shinso once again gets to shine here. I just don't know how useful he can be without a team. His quirk is extremely effective at disrupting the communications but when he's cornered by a user with a powerful quirk such as Bakugo, Todoroki or someone like Muscular, and they know the conditions for him to activate his quirk, Shinso is going to get blown away.

Kaminari has been disappointing. I love his character but he just seems far to weak for the level of quirk that he has. In my mind he should be right on par with the likes of Bakugo and Todoroki.

Froppy is always adequate and always useful.

Tsuburaba from class B has a lot of potential that I imagine will never be fully realized. He would be more powerful if he could actually control the air, for example solidifying the air in a person's lungs so they couldn't breathe. I guess we'll see if he improves any over time.

Vine from class B its pretty cool. The way they portray her, makes her seem even more powerful than the hairy guy(Nagamasa Mora)from Shiketsu High.

All things considered this was a solid episode. It looks like Tokoyami will get a chance to shine next episode I can't wait to see how they animate this next part as he shows the results of his training with Hawks.

  5. It was a nice touch for Liebe to acknowledge there is no way he could be doing this on his own. Which makes you wonder about Asta's origins. I'm starting to get some strong Ichigo vibes from this.

It would be kinda cool if Asta was just some random dude from the country and was able to train himself to be just as strong as the top guys, but I imagine there is a lot more to his background.

The other mages should get a chance to shine while Asta recharges.

I wonder if Yuno has any surprises for us.

  6. Soooo! It seems like Deku will be working with Hawks, Endeavor and best Jeanist for a little while moving forward.

I'll be honest and admit I'm not all that excited about them knowing all about his powers. It's cool that they know that he received his power from all might. But I also feel that the full extent of his power should remain a mystery.

Smokescreen is awesome though. It seems like Deku will use it in all of his interactions with ordinary people and heroes to conceal his identity.

Danger sense's range seems to have increased as well. It kind of feels like a combination of spider sense and supermans super hearing. I wonder if there are more complexities to it that we aren't aware of yet.

Gran Torino handing over his cape to Deku and then telling him that taking out Shigiraki is another way of saving him is interesting and ominous.

With everyone telling Deku to kill Shigaraki you have to believe that he is going to do just the opposite. My best guess is that at some point, all might will die by Shigarki. This will enrage Deku but even with all that hatred that results from his death, Deku will track down and beat Shigaraki but still spare him. Somehow Shigaraki then dies fighting against All for one so he is redeemed but still pays for all of his crimes.

On a side note, I really like the look of Deku's phone, it somehow looks like the cell of a super hero to me.

  7. The visuals on this game are very atmospheric. I can see everybody that played or sampled Frostpunk will eat this game up.

It looks great and it seems like the devs have added another gameplay element, in the form of trauma to a villagers mental state. Now I'll be honest, when it comes to games and movies I've never really cared for the traumatic experience element as a plot device or major gameplay mechanic.

Hopefully this will just be more of a minor mechanic and the game will focus more on the RPG aspects and city building. But that's just personal preference. Either way I think the game looks great. The trailer did a fantastic job of conveying the atmosphere and making the game seem very unique compared to a lot of other games that's out there.

Be sure to checkout the gamespot preview of Gord as well.

I feel like this is the type of game that can have a lot of legs after its initial release. You can always add more monsters, maps, scenarios etc. Plenty of room to extend the life of the game and add DLC for super fans. Very similar to what paradox interactive(Stellaris, Crusader Kings 2 & 3, Europa Universalis etc) does with their games.

  8. Luka had a great sort of trick shot against the Grizzlies. But to me he's proven at this point in his career that he is more than capable of hitting the game winner. I think he's a top 5 player in the league right now. Even though he's not an MVP candidate because of the Mavs record he is definitely a AAA player. There isn't a GM in the league that doesn't wish they had the foresight to draft Luka before the Mavs.

It's funny that analysts like Skip Bayless really just focus on his weaknesses. Shannon will compare him to Larry Bird and Skip will say he doesn't see it. Never mind that Luka right now is still younger than Bird was when Bird played in his rookie season. But Skip is a professional troll and he always goes after the top players. One day though he's gonna have to come around on Luka Doncic. His free throw percentage and three point percentage will rise. His game is predicated on skill not explosive athleticism. These types of players almost always improve their percentages.

  9. Episode 91 was good. Shinso's voicebox is a nice little cheat code. You never know if your ally is the one who said something or if Shinso is simply mimicking him. He completely changes the battlefield because the enemy can't communicate via word of mouth.

I also love the touch of having him have some familiarity with Aizawa as you see him with those binding cloths wrapped around his neck.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the fight. We haven't seen in amazing animation yet such as in Deku's fight against muscular but we know it's coming!

It was also really good to see Deku speaking to the first holder of one for all and a brief discussion of the singularity.

  10. Yea, Asta with the mega sword is cool but I just know that he's about to run out of time and will revert back to regular form.

It feels like Magna and Zora along with some of the other minor characters will get a chance to shine for a little bit. I also have a feeling that Zora has set like a thousand magic traps while this battle has been raging.

  11. Finally! It looks like Luffy is about to fight for real. Big Mom is out of the picture, Traffy is down, Zoro is down, Kid and Killer are off screen. Just Luffy and Kaido!😁🔥

I love that Zoro got a clean hit in on Kaido. It seems like there is some debate as to how. Was it color of supreme king that Zoro accidentally used? Or was it some type of unknown power related to his 9 sword style?

  12. Deku looks pretty cool! I love how he is wearing Gran Torino's cape now.

Also the scene the Sixth puts his arm around him giving him guidance about his quirk smokescreen is pretty cool.

Another good scene was where the Sixth told Deku to consider the quirks in one for all more like tools and then the manga shows what the quirks physical manifestations would be be a rope, a jetpack, a radio, a smoke grenade.

At the end of the chapter after delivering the punch Deku says that's his full power, so I'm wondering if he is just merely saying hey I'm able to use multiple quirks at once now or if he is actually using one for all at 100%.

I saw some comments about Deku shouldn't be fighting alone etc. But from the last chapters we have to realize that Deku isn't fighting alone. He obviously has all of the one for all users there with him, giving him tips and guidance.

At this point I find it really interesting that it seems like one for all was never passed to someone with a powerful quirk there has to be at least one person with a OP type quirk. As it stands now, were it not for Deku's physical abilities due to multiple generations. He really wouldn't stand a chance against the likes of Bakugo or Todoroki.

  13. The team is looking really good against the blazers. In the 3 point era teams value shooting and mobility more than size. But in the playoffs when the game slows down and teams get a chance to really prep and strategize for one opponent, they really will expose your weaknesses. I don't care how good you shoot the three ball. In the playoffs, NBA size plus, skilled post play and rebounding can be devastating!

It's amazing to me just how undervalued Demarcus Cousins skillset has become. I feel like the LA Clippers got a steal. Hopefully they extend him pass the initial 10 day contract.

  14. I'm guessing its always better late than never but this is incredibly late. It would be strange to unveil the banner in May and than proceed to get knocked out of the playoffs a week or so later.

Now hopefully Lebron and Anthony Davis can comeback and provide the team a boost before they drop to far in the standings. But as it stands now, there is a scenario where the Lakers drop all the way to the eighth seed. I imagine that's highly unlikely but definitely not impossible. A part of me feels like they should have just dropped the banner at the beginning of the season like normal. But I understand that they want the fans to be able to enjoy it if possible.

  15. I really enjoyed Godzilla vs Kong! I had previously seen two reviews beforehand. One gave it a 5 out of 10 the other gave the movie a 7 out of 10. From the trailer, I thought the movie looked pretty cool but they had killed off so many of the great characters in the first movies I had some big doubts as to how good this new movie would be.

Godzilla vs Kong did not disappoint you could say that Godzilla and Kong go for three rounds in the movies. I won't talk about each individual battle just the first one. There was a scene on a transport ship that I thought was absolutely ridiculous. There isn't any transport ship in the world that should be able to hold Godzilla's weight let alone Kong and Godzilla at the same time. I just thought that whole fight scene was a bit silly.

As for the whole let them fight  idea carried over from the first movies, they certainly do let them fight! They have extended sequences of fight scenes. I'll be honest and say the last fight had me kinda sad at one point. Because these two really go at it.

I would say if you're looking for the human drama element like from the first Godzilla remake back in 2014 this is definitely not that. There are a couple actors that get a few scenes to shine but this movie is all about the monsters. Its a great action movie, that adds a little more worldbuilding to the universe as they explore more of the hollow earth theory.

My question now is where do they go from here?

  16. I can definitely see some people buying this. The facemask looks pretty fashionable to me. The question is how often would you actually wear it? A part of me feels like it would just be pretty cool to own.

The official website is loading super slow, so they must be getting a lot of attention. The light colored ones look nice enough but also look like they won't go with everything. I'd wager the black ones would sell a lot better. I guess we'll see.

from what I've read so far the masks will have :

    • An air filter
    • 3 fans(presumably to keep you cool)
    • Noise canceling headphones
    • And headlights
  17. I really like KAT and respect him a lot. I've been watching him play since his Kentucky days. Anthony Edwards looks like he may eventually be terrorizing the league but...so far LaMelo Ball has had the better rookie season. The numbers bear that out. Now LaMelo does have a bit of an advantage since he's already played professionally overseas but that doesn't disqualify him for rookie of the year. In flashes Edwards seems hyper athletic and just oozes potential but just in terms of who's had a better season, its definitely LaMelo Ball so far. And I imagine its gonna be hard to change people's minds on this one unless Edwards turns it up another level in these last remaining games.

  18. In some cases NBA coaches are really stalling the careers of these young guys, causing teams to develop at a slower rate, and creating inaccurate perceptions of players that can kind of carry over with them throughout their career. This hurts their future opportunities going forward and their overall earning potential .

    Julius Randle
Julius Randle put up some good numbers last night 19 points, 15 rebounds, 12 assists 1 steal, 1 block but 0-4 from three.  Final score was Knicks 112 to Nets 114 . The next time Julius touches the court I bet he puts up a thousand threes . If just one of those 4 goes in, the Knicks win the game. It should be obvious to everyone at this point how competitive Julius is and how much work he's willing to put in to win.

I hope he gets a big new contract because he's earned it. He has proven all of the doubters wrong. These teams should have seen his work ethic and eventually realized it was going to show up on the court. All he needed was consistent minutes and an opportunity to just develop.

I feel like Luke Walton had a huge negative impact of Julius' career. Luke gave him inconsistent minutes during his entire tenure, made him play out of position as a center and kept demoting him to the bench. No wonder he asked the Lakers to just let him go. He knew they were gonna low ball him on his contract and his minutes were going to decrease even more. And shockingly enough the Lakers let Julius Randle go to reserve cap room. What does that say about how much the team ever valued you? Hopefully the Knicks are smart and lock him up for a long time. Even the casual observer can see how much he wants to win.

    James Wiseman
You know its interesting, I'm keeping a close eye on the golden state warriors and how Steve Kerr is talking about Wiseman. Every time I turn around I see Steve Kerr making comments to the press about James Wiseman. This young guy has all the measurables you could want from your NBA center, he's agile and he is very obviously offensively talented but he's young and he just needs some time to develop.

But Steve Kerr is talking about him in the press about how he needs to learn the game and openly talking about his confidence to the press. Its just ridiculous. And I see Kerr making the same mistakes that Luke Walton made. Talking about how development doesn't necessarily mean minutes. Almost all the great NBA players got minutes when they were young. Plenty of chances to mess up. Some people develop at a different pace than others. The problem is Kerr is talking about Wiseman in the press like he's getting 35 minutes a night. Kerr may can get away with talking about a young promising rookie now. But what happens 3-4 years from now when that rookie develops and you want him to sign long term, he's only gonna re-sign for the max. Or what happens when you stifle his development and he doesn't look like the young star everyone hoped he be? He's gonna sign that qualifying offer and then leave the next year if you don't trade him. Once he gets under a coach that just lets him play he'll look like an all star.

As much as I like Steph Curry Warriors aren't going to win the championship this year and I think its very detrimental to talk about your young rookie the way Kerr is. It's easy to look good as a coach when you have 4 proven all star players on your team in your first year. But now that you don't have all of those all stars playing...🙂

  19. Good for Jrue Holiday. I agree with the premise that he had all the leverage since Milwaukee gave up so much to get him. But you have to think that Milwaukee had already planned for this outcome. At this point we all know what to expect from Milwaukee. They are going to be great during the regular season but will struggle during the playoffs. So it will be great to see if Milwaukee can finally break through this year since they have 3 impact players that are capable of giving them 20+ a night.

  20. At some point I feel like Zoro/Zolo(he'll always be Zoro to me!😅) Is gonna open that left eye and its gonna be the beginning of the end!

This was the perfect chapter to do it but he still manages to shine without letting loose. One day though, I know its coming.
